Safety Sensors
The Safety Sensor detects when an operator has entered the hazardous area of a machine.

Saturation Point: The point at which condensation is formed.
A semiconductor is a material whose electrical properties can be significantly influenced by physical factors (mostly electrical conditions, but also pressure, temperature etc). This means that a semiconductor will behave either as an insulator or a conductor of electricity, depending on the conditions to which it is exposed. They are a fundamental component of electronic devices. Because of their ability to respond to external conditions, semiconductors are commonly used in sensor systems.
A device used to increase separation when the insulation distance may be insufficient or when there are metal components or copper wire nearby.
Serial Transmission: Sending one bit at a time on a single transmission line.
Electrical components that are connected in an unbranched line is said to be “in series,” as opposed to “in parallel” or “in shunt.” If anyone of the components in a series circuit was to fail, the circuit would be broken and no electricity would flow.
Set or Actuation Point: The exact rate which will cause the electric switch to actuate.
The control amount serves as the target for feedback control. The abbreviation is SP. If the setpoint is input with key operations or communications, it’s called the local SP. If the setpoint is input with an external analog signal, it’s called the remote SP.
A Relay where the contacts switch based on the non-excitation and excitation of the coil and otherwise have no special functions based on operating elements.
Single-Pole Double-Throw (SPDT) Switch: A switch combining both normally open and normally closed switch contacts.
Single-Pole Single Throw (SPST) Switch: A switch that only has one of either a normally open or a normally closed contact
Solid State: Any element that controls current without moving parts, vacuum gaps or heated filaments.
